13.5 Removing the fork protector

Remove screws

and take off the clamp.

Remove screws

on the left and right rear fork leg. Take off
the fork protector.
13.6 Installing the fork protector

– Position the fork protector on the left and right fork leg. Mount
and tighten screws

Guideline
Remaining screws,

M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Position the brake line and the clamp. Mount and tighten
screws

Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 46)
– Remove the front wheel. ( p. 82)

Remove screws

and take off the clamp.

Remove screws

and take off the brake caliper.
– Allow the brake caliper and the brake line to hang loosely to
the side.
Info
Do not kink the brake line.

– Note the installation position of the fork legs.

. Remove the left fork leg.

. Remove the right fork leg.
