– Adjust the basic position of the rear brake lever with
adjusting screw

to the rider's hand size.

Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the
distance between the rear brake lever and the han-
dlebar.
Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to
decrease the distance between the rear brake lever
and the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.

– Attach the foot brake lever spring.
– Check whether the basic position of the foot brake lever is
suitable for the rider.
14.11 Checking the rear brake fluid level
Warning
Danger of accidents An insufficient brake fluid level will cause the brake system to fail.
If the brake fluid level drops below the specified marking or the specified value, the brake system is
leaking or the brake linings are worn down.
– Check the brake system and ensure that nobody drives the vehicle before the problem is eliminated.

– Make sure that brake fluid for the front and rear brake is changed in accordance with the service
