If your problem is not covered above, or if none of the suggestions seem to work, rst check
back and review the relevant sections of this manual. Many diculties are just programming
problems caused by settings of Multi parameters. If you want to be sure that all of the factory
defaults are in place, see the RESET Page on page 12-21.

Restoring Factory Defaults
For restoring your Forte back to the factory defaults, see Global Mode Reset on page 12-21
CAUTION: Restoring factory defaults cannot be undone. Back up
your files before doing so by using Storage mode; see “Store All”
on page 11-6.
Diagnostics
You will most likely not need to use the System Mode diagnostic operations in normal
cases. ese operations are mostly used at the factory and service centers by engineers for
troubleshooting hardware problems. But, in some cases you might be required to run these
diagnostics for troubleshooting and diagnosing symptoms. In these cases, follow the direction
of an authorized Kurzweil technician.
