5.0 DESCRIPTION OF MAIN FUNCTIONS
BANDWIDTH
Press Bw on Band 1, 2 or 3. DATA WHEEL defaults to bandwidth adjust
(DATA) mode. Available bandwidths are 1/32, 1/24, 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/4,
1/3, 1/2, 1, 1.4 and 2 octaves.
HIGH and LOW PASS FILTERS
The two buttons at either end of the frequency select buttons provide access to filter
frequency and slope. These are then adjusted using the DATA WHEEL.
GAIN
Press GAIN to adjust the filter slope. DATA WHEEL defaults to adjust
(DATA) mode. Available slopes are OFF, -12dB/Octave Bessel, -
12dB/Octave Butterworth and -24dB/Octave Linkwitz-Reily.
HIGH & LOW
Press LOW or HIGH to adjust the frequency of the filters. DATA WHEEL
defaults to adjust frequency (DATA) mode. Available frequency ranges are
16Hz to 630Hz for the high pass and 656Hz to 20kHz for the low pass
filters.
GAIN:
GAIN affects signal level through the Parametric, Filters and Shelving equalisers.
BYPASS:
BYPASS operates on the selected channel/s and affects both the Parametric EQ
and Filters.
5.3 HIGH & LOW SHELVING EQ
The Shelving equaliser on the DPF3103 is a 2 band (High and Low), variable with
±8dB of cut or boost and a slope of 6dB/octave.
Press PARAMETRIC & FILTERS twice to access the SHELVING equaliser.
SELECTING HIGH or LOW EQ:
Use the two blue buttons at either end of the frequency select buttons to access
frequency and gain for the shelving EQ. These are then adjusted using the DATA
WHEEL.
GAIN
Press GAIN to adjust cut or boost. The DATA WHEEL defaults to GAIN
adjust (DATA) mode.
