5.0 DESCRIPTION OF MAIN FUNCTIONS
HIGH & LOW
Press HIGH or LOW to adjust the shelving frequency. The DATA WHEEL
defaults to frequency adjust (DATA) mode.
LINKING:
Linking is the same as the Parametric EQ.
BYPASS:
BYPASS operates on the selected channel/s and only affects the Shelving EQ.
5.4 COMPRESSOR/LIMITER
This is a fully specified dynamics processor with variable Threshold, Gain (Gain-
make-up), Attack and Release. Ratio is adjustable between 1.4:1 and 'brick wall'
LIMITING with selectable Hard or Soft Knee response. Gain reduction metering
covering 0dB to -30dB, is also provided.
Default settings (Program 00 or FLAT) for the Compressor/Limiter page are -
Threshold +20dB Gain 0dB
Ratio LIMIT Knee Soft
Attack 1mS Release 200mS
and both channels are selected.
Press DYNAMICS button once to select the COMPRESSOR/ LIMITER page.
Press DYNAMICS a second time to select the EXPANDER/GATE page.
Press DYNAMICS again to return to COMPRESSOR/LIMITER page.
SELECTING CHANNEL A & B:
To edit Channel A or B press it's associated CHANNEL SELECT button.
LINKING CHANNEL A & B:
Press and release both CHANNEL SELECT buttons together.
You cannot set different values for Channel A & Channel B and then link
them. So if you wish to use the Compressor/Limiter in stereo you should
select both channels before you start editing.
If you do try to link channels with different settings a dialogue will ask you
to copy the values of A onto B or B onto A.
COPY CHANNEL A TO CHANNEL B
At the dialogue box, press and hold CHANNEL SELECT A.
