8.0 DELAY OPTION
The Delay option for the DPF3103 provides up to 1.36 seconds (65,599 samples) of
delay with on-screen readouts in number of samples, time, distance in feet and
metres and number of frames (for film work). There is also provision for entering
ambient temperature. The Delay software allows different settings for Channel A & B
which can then be linked with the offset.
The Delay option consists of two memory modules which are plugged into the main
circuit board of the DPF3103. Fitting instructions are given at the end of this section.
8.1 OPERATION
The DELAY button brings up two menu screens allowing delay settings to be made in
number of samples or distance and an adjustment of ambient temperature.
• Press DELAY button once to select the samples, time, distance and
temperature page.
• Press DELAY a second time to select the Frames per second page.
• Press DELAY again to return to the previous page.
Default settings (Program 00) for the Delay page are both channels selected and -
Delay 1.3ms (minimum) Samples 64
Temperature 20°C Frames 0.03, 25 frames/s
SELECTING CHANNEL A & B:
To edit Channel A or B press it's associated CHANNEL SELECT button.
LINKING CHANNEL A & B:
• Press and hold CHANNEL SELECT A
• Press CHANNEL SELECT B
• Release both buttons together.
Or vice-versa.
LINKING WITH OFFSET:
Offset linking on the DPF3103 means there can be different delay settings for
Channels A & B, which can then be linked for overall adjustment.
• Select Channel A and adjust delay. Repeat with channel B.
• Now link (select both) the channels, the offset between the channels is
maintained.
