9.0 REAL TIME ANALYSER OPTION
REFERENCE
REFERENCE is used to shift the centre reference of the display i.e. to bring
the measured values into range. REFERENCE can be adjusted in 10dB steps
with the current value shown to the left of the display and on the top line. The
actual function of the REFERENCE button depends on the signal source.
External Microphone
With the Microphone (Micro) source selected the FLAT/REFERENCE
button toggles the display between dBu and dBSPL (Sound Pressure
Level).
See the relevant sections re. Setting Microphone gain and/or
sensitivity.
InA, InB, OutA or OutB
If the source is Channel A or B then pressing the FLAT/REFERENCE
button toggles the display between dBu and dBfs (full scale).
ENTER
Pressing the ENTER stops the analyser and holds the current display. This
frozen curve can then be stored and recalled using the STORE/RECALL
function in the RTA-SETTINGS 2 menu. HOLD is displayed to the right of the
display.
ESCAPE
Press the ESCAPE button to restart the analyser.
