9.0 REAL TIME ANALYSER OPTION
RELEASE
This parameter changes the release time of the display for both the
ANALYSER and CORRECTION screens. Peak release times can be varied
from 1.5s to 10s and 125ms to 1s for the average readout.
PREAMP
With this parameter selected use the DATA WHEEL to adjust the Microphone
preamplifier gain in 1dB steps from 0dB to +60dB.
With SOURCE selected to Micro and REFERENCE as dBSPL,
preamplifier gain adjust is not available.
MICRO
Access to Phantom power and response settings for the external RTA
microphone.
1. PHANTOM
Use the DATA WHEEL to select between Phantom power on and off.
Phantom power is provided at +15V.
2. RESPONSE
• Use the DATA WHEEL to select one of four possible microphone
setting memories.
• Press ENTER to confirm. Display changes to MIC page.
MIC menu
This menu is used to enter microphone sensitivity and frequency response values.
The top line of the display shows the microphone number, the frequency selected,
the gain at that frequency and sensitivity.
• Press RTA button twice to select RTA-SETTINGS 1
• Use
buttons to select MICRO:
• Use DATA WHEEL to select required microphone number
• Press ENTER to confirm. Display changes to MIC page.
Pressing the RTA button at this stage returns you to the SETTINGS 1
page.
FREQUENCY SELECT:
The frequency response of the microphone is represented by 31 faders,
similar to the GRAPHIC equaliser, with a range of +5 to -5dB in 0.25dB steps.
The response curve of the microphone can be entered using the faders and
then the analyser uses this data to compensate the overall frequency
response. Selecting a frequency and adjusting it's gain is similar to operating
the GRAPHIC equaliser. Please refer to Section 5.1.
