5.0 DESCRIPTION OF MAIN FUNCTIONS
• Press CHANNEL SELECT B.
• Release both CHANNEL SELECT buttons together and they will be
linked.
You can of course use the Compressor/Limiter for stereo without linking channels
bearing in mind that the overall GAIN for each channel must also be adjusted
separately.
SELECTING & ADJUSTING PARAMETERS:
Select parameter with the
buttons and adjust each in turn with the DATA
WHEEL. Alternatively you can use the DATA WHEEL to both select parameters
and adjust values.
GAIN
Gain range is ±15dB.
THRESHOLD
Threshold range is ±20dBu
RATIO
Available Ratios are 1.4:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 6:1, 8:1, 16:1 and 'Brick wall' Limiting
ATTACK
Attack range is 20µS to 100mS
RELEASE
Release is adjustable from 20mS to 5S
KNEE
Compression slope can be selected between HARD or SOFT knee.
BYPASS:
BYPASS only affects the Compressor/Limiter. When bypassed the GR meters do
not operate.
5.5 EXPANDER/GATE
The Expander/Gate on the DPF3103 has variable Threshold, Attack and Release with
selectable Ratios including GATE and hard or soft knee. There are separate gain
reduction and GATE closed LED's. Default settings (Program 00 or FLAT) for the
Expander/gate page are both channels selected and -

Attack 1ms Release 200ms
