z Do connect ECU harness connector firmly, otherwise electro elements,
such as IC inside ECU, will be damaged.
Precautions on Operation
z The appliance is a sophisticated electronic device, never have it
clashed when in use.
z Make sure the appliance is properly connected to the DIAGNOSTIC
CONNECTOR to avoid communication interruptions.
z Do not insert and pull out CF card when the appliance is working.
z Put the stylus into the slot at the back of X-431 main unit after
operation, and place the cables, connectors and other accessories
into box.
z Handle with care and avoid crashing.
Safety Precautions
z Automotive batteries contain sulfuric acid that is harmful to skin. In
operation, direct contact with the automotive batteries should be
avoided. Pay attention not to splash the sulfuric acid into eyes. Keep
ignition sources away from the battery at all times.
z Engines produce various poisonous compounds (hydrocarbon,
carbon monoxide, azote oxid, etc,) which should be avoided.
z Avoid contacting high temperature assembly such as water tank and
vent-pipe as the temperature of the running engine is very high.
z Before starting engine, put the speed lever in the neutral position or
in the P position to avoid injury.
z Wear an ANSI-approved eye shield when testing or repairing
vehicles.
z If you are using the battery as a power source, connect the RED (+)
battery clip to the positive of the vehicle battery and the BLACK (-)
battery clip to the negative.
