- Adjust the chain lenght. If the chains are shortened or the
adjustment strips A (fig. 9) are secured higher up, the
POLYMAT will follow the LELYTERRA sooner when the
combination is lifted. The tractor’s hydraulic lift can then
be adjusted lower.
Throughout the operation, the chains are not allowed to be
tightened. Make sure that their free movement is sufficient.
3.2
Mounting behind the tractor
- Adjust the tractor’s lower arms at an even height.
- Manoeuver the tractor in front of the POLYMAT and
couple the lower arms to the linkage pins A (fig. 10).
- Lift the machine until the parking jacks are only just clear
of the ground.
- Remove the parking jacks.
- Lower the machine until it is in a horizontal position.
- Fit the tractor’s top link in the topmost hole of the top link
plates by means of a top link pin (fig. 10).
- Check the PTO shaft for easy telescoping.
- Mount the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the
minimum and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves.
(consult the instruction booklet supplied with the PTO shaft).
- Fit the safety chain of the PTO guard to a rigid part of the
tractor.
- Check if the ball valve (fig. 11) is closed (TRANSPORT
position).
- Connect the two hydraulic hoses (marked in white) of the
combined marker/coulter beam control with a double
acting spool valve on the tractor.
- Connect -if required
