Lifting is bound to lead to variable motion in the drive
because the PTO shaft is out of alignment. Observe the
following instructions.
- Do not raise the machine any further than necessary for
turning.
- Maintain the lowest possible PTO speed when the machine
is in the lifted position.
If the POLYMAT is used in combination with a
LELYTERRA, the variable motion may become too dramatic
as a result of the angle to be made by the PTO shaft.
- Disengage the PTO shaft when the LELYTERRA is only
just above the ground.
- Re-engage the PTO shaft when the LELYTERRA is a few
cm above ground level.

Replacement of shearbolts
The track eradicators and marker arms are fitted with a
shearbolt allowing them to move backwards in case of
overload.
- Replace a broken shearbolt of the track eradicators by a
bolt M10x55-8.8 (fig. 33).
- If a marker arm shearbolt has broken, a full-thread bolt
M8x35-8.8 (fig. 34) should be fitted.
