8 DISMOUNTING
The parking jacks are not allowed to carry a POLYMAT with
a filled-up hopper. You are therefore to empty the hopper
before uncoupling the POLYMAT from the LELYTERRA or
tractor.
Allways place the machine on hard ground.
- Lift the markers and coulters.
- Close the ball valve (TRANSPORT position; fig. 35).
- Fit the track eradicators to the support with the coulter
pointing to the rear (fig. 36).
- Lower the machine to such an extent that the wheels only
just touch the ground.
- If the machine is placed on hard ground, the coulters
should be lowered ensuring a stabler position of the drill.
- Remove the pressure from the hydraulic system and
uncouple the hydraulic hoses.
- Disconnect electrical/hydraulic connections to any
tramlining equipment or other options.
Further operations depend upon any of the following
situations:
• uncoupling of the POLYMAT from the LELYTERRA
• uncoupling of the combination as such
• uncoupling from the tractor of the POLYMAT as a
solo machine.
8.1
Uncoupling of the POLYMAT from
the LELYTERRA
(continued from “Dismounting”)
- Raise the LELYTERRA to such an extent that the
POLYMAT’s top link is free from tension.
- Dismount this top link from the LELYTERRA’s headstock
and place it in the noose on the hopper.
- Lift the combination carefully until the parking jacks can
be slid into the POLYMAT chassis.
- Slide the parking jacks into the chassis and secure them
with lynch pins.
- Lower the combination until the parking jacks are on the
ground.
