• Adjust the marker disc to a greater or lesser angle
if the required marking was not obtained.
• Check the horizontal position of the POLYMAT.
• Make sure that the chains of the coupler arms are not
taut (fig. 32). These are never allowed to be tightened
during operations.
• If you are going to continue operations, carry on from
paragraph 7.6.

Stopping in the course of a working
pass
If there are circumstances which make it necessary to stop the
operation in the course of a working pass, the following
instructions should be observed.
- Lift the coulters before the tractor has come to a standstill.
- Disengage the PTO shaft.
Resume the operation as follows.
- Lift the machine.
- Drive a few metres backwards in order to avoid a gap in the
seed bed.
- Engage the PTO shaft.
- Lower the machine.
- Increase the PTO up to operating speed.
- Lower the coulters and marker while driving forwards.

Turning on headlands
Proceed as follows when turning on headlands.
- Lift the coulters and marker by actuating the valve for
combined control.
- Reduce the PTO speed.
- Lift the machine.
- Make a turn with the tractor.
- Lower the machine.
- Increase the PTO up to operating speed.
- Lower the coulters and marker while driving.
