- Check all clamping constructions on the coulter beam for
tightness.
- Check the coulters for smooth pivoting.
- Check the blockage flails of the coulters for smooth
pivoting.
- Check the hoses for kinks and cracks.
- Check the machine for damage and flaws.
- Ensure correct tyre pressure:
Polymat 300: 190 kPa (1,9 bar) /
140 kPa (1,4 bar) as a minimum
Polymat 400: 200 kPa (2,0 bar) /150 kPa (1,5 bar) as a minimum
- Check V belts for condition and pressure (dismount
protection shield). V belt pressure should be so adjusted
that each belt can be pushed in about 18 mm by applying a
force of 50 N (5 kg) in the centre, between the pulleys
(fig. 46).
- Check the presence and condition of all safety decals
(fig. 47).
