B.X FRONT DRIVE AXLE (CENTER DRIVEN)
DESCRIPTION
The four wheel drive (DTC) version of the tractor
is obtained by replacing the front axle of the trac-
tor with a housing that has a centrally pivoted dif·
ferential. Through the use of a reduction gearbox
(Fig. B.X/1 ). located on the bottom of the gear-
box.
power is transferred from the gearbox, to
the reduction gear. to the front differential, via
the cardan shaft.
The motion is transmitted to the front wheels
from the differential via two planetary drive
shafts.

To engage the four wheel drive, push forward on
the manual control lever near the left fender.
