Cura LulzBot Edition
base of your object, a specic number of lines to print, and/or specify a
minimum extrusion length for how much skirt to print.
Brim
Brim will print a single layer thick line that extends around the base of
your object. This increased surface area helps adhere the part to the build
plate when your object has a small contact area. As with the skirt option,
you can specify multiple items related to brim once this is selected. Default
settings are usually sucient to ensure adherence for most models.
Raft
The raft option will build up support material underneath your part, and
then print the entire object on this support material. This is extremely
helpful for objects that do not have a at surface. As with skirt and brim,
once selected you can customize every aspect of how the raft is printed
to suit your needs. Default settings are recommended as a good starting
point.
None
The none option will not use any build plate adhesion techniques, and go
straight to printing your object. If you wish to reach the full build volume
of your printer, you will need to select none here as Skirt, Brim, and Raft
use a portion of the total build volume.
2.17 Dual Extrusion Settings Tab
The dual extrusion settings tab contains two main options consisting of the
priming tower and the ooze shield.
Prime Tower
A prime tower generates a pillar to be printed at a specied location on
the build plate. The tool head will move to this location and print a layer
with the active nozzle after a tool head switch when using dual extrusion.
Once activating the prime tower, several new options appear.
