ODK4 STARTUP AND BASIC OPERATION
3.1 Initial Start-up
When the sign system is first powered on, the initial greeting screen will cycle twice and
then the ODK4 will display a configuration screen (see Fig 3-1). This screen will be
displayed for approximately 60 seconds as the ODK4 completes its boot-up sequence
(press any key repeatedly to hold screen).
The configuration screen gives a full summary of overall configuration of the ODK4,
including software version; hardware version; model number; options currently enabled
including auto-dim, touchscreen, communications protocols and alarm inputs.
Note: If difficulties are encountered with the system, the information contained on this
screen will be necessary in order for a Luminator representative to offer assistance.
Figure 3-1. Boot-up Screen
After completion of boot-up, the default screen will be displayed. This display will include
touch-sensitive soft-keys for the basic operator functions (MENU; RUN; ROUTE; P/R;
DESTA; DESTB). The last message entered before power shutdown will be displayed
on the ODK4 (see Fig. 3-2).
