GROUND CONDITIONS
Is important for a good grain storage and conservation taht the ground for bag lling is to prepared in anti-
cipation, with the following characteristics:
• Be a high place (not oodable), away from trees.
• Hard, not to mark footprints from the tractor and bagger.
• Free from weeds or stubble, in order that the stems of these not damage the bag (maintain with herbici-
des periodically).
• The ideal slope must be slight (1 - 3 %) and always is prefereble to bag dwnhill to avoid water entrance
by the bag end, which is the one of more risky for being left the clousure at sight. It is not recommended
to work across slope, because it will overload one of the bag sides causing over-stretching of the plastic
and possibility of braking during lling or storage.
• If in the eld there is also cattle production, is advisable to set the bags away (2 m / 6.5 ft) from the wire
fense.
• Once made the bags, it must be done a perimeter wire fence to prevent damage from animals.
• Avoid the attack from rodents, they damage the bags.
SEPARATION BETWEEN BAGS
The separation between bags must be
enought for being able to transit with the
self unload wagon by side to the bagger,
during bag lling and with a truck during
grain removal (reference minimum 5 m /
16.5 ft) Fig. 46.
