INSTALLATION
Cautions
1. RemovethePCBforanyprocedurethatmaycausedust,metalshavings,grea se,orsuchmattertoaffectthe
operationoftheboardsorgetincontactwiththeunits.
2. Disconnectallsourcesofpowerprior toinstallingorremovingmodules,connectingordisconnectingwiring
andprogrammingjumpers.
3.
Grouptheincomingwiresthroughthetopoftheenclosure.Foreasyidentification andneatnessuseawire
tie.
4. DONOTinsertcablesthroughbottomofthebox.ThisspaceisreservedforBatteries.
ControlPanelLocation
Thecontrolpanelshouldbelocatednearanexitatgroundlevelwherethenormalambienttemperatureis
maintainedwithinthecontrolpanelspecification(seetheSpecificationsandFeaturessection).Theunitshould
beinanareafreeofdust,vibration,moisture,andcondensation.Anyauxiliarybatteryboxorotheraccessory
notconnectedthroughaprotectivedeviceoracircuitdesignedforremoteconnectionmustbewithin20ft.and
inthesameroom,connectedthroughtheelectricalconduit.

Thecabinetmustbefastenedsecurelytoaclean,dry,shock‐free,andvibration‐freesurfaceinaprotected
environment.Considerthefollowingwhenmountingthecabinet:

Localmountingcodes
When
mountingthecabinet,positionthecabinetclearofobstructionssothatthedoorcanopenfreelyand
indicatorsandcontrolsareeasilyaccessible.
Thefirealarmcontrolpanelmustbemountedinaproperlyaccessiblelocation,asrequiredbytheapplicable
codesandtheAHJ.
Installationmustbedonebyqualified
personnelwhohavethoroughlyreadandwhounderstandsthese
instructions.
