3.3.3.1 Connecting the Working Gas
► Make a supply line between the working gas source and the Working Gas IN system
connection.
► Ensure an outlet pressure between 4,0-6,0 bar at the working gas source.
► Set pressure reducing valve 5 (See chapter 4.2) above the dispense outlet (front side)
to 0,3 – 0,5 bar (30 – 50 kPa; 4,5 – 7,25 psi) secondary. Observe the manometer.
3.3.3.2 Power Connection
DANGER
Hazardous electrical voltage!
Country-specific power connection, see type plate and manual of vacuum pump
► The connection needs to be made to protected (fused) power supply that is equipped with a
CPC (earth conductor).
3.3.3.3 Connecting the Exhaust of the Safety Cabinet
► Connect the exhaust between exhaust outlet of the safety cabinet with customer’s disposal
facility (exhaust).
► Ensure, gas flow and potential equalization according to the relevant safety guidelines.
3.3.3.4 Connecting the Exhaust of the Housing
► Connect the exhaust between exhaust outlet of the housing (top exhaust outlet) with customer’s
disposal facility (exhaust).
3.3.3.5 Connecting the Disposal Piping for Vacuum Waste Gases
► Connect the disposal piping between the vacuum pump exhaust and the customer’s disposal
facility (exhaust).
3.3.3.6 Grounding
Refer to chapter 2.6.2
► In case of operating a SPS system with other systems, e.g. a Glove Box, ensure a potential
equalization.
► Connect the grounding cable to house grounding.
