3.3.3.1 Connecting the Working Gas
Make a supply line between the working gas source and the Working Gas IN system
connection.
Ensure an outlet pressure between 4,0-6,0 bar at the working gas source.
Set pressure reducing valve 5 (See chapter 4.2) above the dispense outlet (front side)
to 0,3 0,5 bar (30 50 kPa; 4,5 7,25 psi) secondary. Observe the manometer.
3.3.3.2 Power Connection
DANGER
Hazardous electrical voltage!
Country-specific power connection, see type plate and manual of vacuum pump
The connection needs to be made to protected (fused) power supply that is equipped with a
CPC (earth conductor).
3.3.3.3 Connecting the Exhaust of the Safety Cabinet
Connect the exhaust between exhaust outlet of the safety cabinet with customer’s disposal
facility (exhaust).
Ensure, gas flow and potential equalization according to the relevant safety guidelines.
3.3.3.4 Connecting the Exhaust of the Housing
Connect the exhaust between exhaust outlet of the housing (top exhaust outlet) with customer’s
disposal facility (exhaust).
3.3.3.5 Connecting the Disposal Piping for Vacuum Waste Gases
Connect the disposal piping between the vacuum pump exhaust and the customer’s disposal
facility (exhaust).
3.3.3.6 Grounding
Refer to chapter 2.6.2
In case of operating a SPS system with other systems, e.g. a Glove Box, ensure a potential
equalization.
Connect the grounding cable to house grounding.
