6.4.2 Sampling Solvents
After evacuating and flooding the sampling flask 3-fold *), the solvent can be sampled.
*) This step is not necessary during initial commissioning.
1
(V 5)
Adjust pre-pressure at each filling station:
Pre-Pressure Solvent
Pressure Reducing Valve
Adjust the pre-pressure according to viscosity and required
sampling tempo of each solvent
Permitted range: 0,3 bis 0,5 bar (30 bis 50 kPa).
2
(V3)
(V 4)
Evacuate the sampling flask:
► Preselect Vacuum with the upper valve (V 3)
► Position the lower valve (V 4) to
Vacuum / N2 .
The sampling flask will be evacuated for ca. 1 minute.
3
► Preselect N2 with the upper valve (V 3)
► Position the lower Valve (V 4) to CLOSED
(This will avoid infiltration of solvent remains to the
vacuum system).
4
► Assemble the sampling flask correctly to the filling station
(See chapter 5. 3.1.2).
► Position slowly the lower valve (V 4) to SOLVENT.
The solvent is filled into the sampling flask.
► Fill the required portion (max. ¾ filling level ) into the flask.
► Then position the lower Valve (V 4) to CLOSED.
