6.1. General
The Solvent Purification Systems SPS 800 Manual and the SPS Compact are operated manually
by valve handling both at the solvent reservoir and the working station. An overview of the functions
of the valves is already given in chapter 4.3.1. Please, refer to the description of the principle of the
SPS-Solvent Purification.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage!
► Use personal protection:
The adequate personal protection depends upon the type of solvent
dispensed. If applicable use eye and face protection, hand and
respiratory protection.
► To avoid cross contamination only one solvent may be dispensed at
any given time.
► The external dispensing unit may not be used simultaneous with any
box internal dispensing station.
► The flasks used for the external dispensing must be suitable to be used
under vacuum.
► All valves should be opened and closed slowly to avoid sudden
pressure changes and any resulting spilling of solvents.
