4.4 WaterConnection
The compact piezo LED requires a water
supply line to cool the handpiece and inserts
during the operating cycle.
The device is sold with a connecting cable
between the electronic module and handpiece
equipped with a polyurethane tube with 1.3
mm internal diameter (see Figure13apagina
23).
The water line of the dental unit must satisfy
the following requirements:
• Guaranteeasupplypressurebetween:
1.00÷6.00bar;
• Bettedwithasolenoidvalve,24V
2.5W maximum, to control the opening
of the irrigation circuit;
• Downstream of the pressure regulator
andsolenoidvalve,bettedwith
a valve dedicated to supplying the
compact piezo LED handpiece and able
toregulateandguaranteeawaterow
rateof20÷30ml/min.

the pressure and ow rate, see the use and
installation manual of the dental unit.
Connect the water circuit in a stable manner in
compliancewithstandardISO60601,seeking
to isolate the water circuit as much as possible
from the live electrical parts.
CAUTION: The water hose of the scaler
handpiece cord must be directly connected
to the dental unit cold water circuit.
