1 OpenthesterilizedPiezosurgeryMedicalHandpiecepackingandremovethehandpiece-cord.
2 OpenthesterilizedPiezosurgeryMedicalIrrigationKitpackingandremovetheirrigationtube
andthexingclips.
3 Connectoneendofthetubetothespecialjointonthehandpiece(Pic.12-Ref.A).
4 Fixtheirrigationtubetothehandpiece-cordusingthe6clipssupplied(Pic.12-Ref.B).
B. OPERATIONS TO CARRY OUT IN NON-STERILE CONDITIONS:
5 Insertthethickestpartoftheirrigationtube(15cmlong)intheperistalticpump(Pic.12-Ref.C):
-Opentheperistalticpumpapasfarasitopens.
-Positionintherotarythepartoftheirrigationtubewiththelargerdiameter.
-Closetheperistalticpumpapshut.
6 Positionthebagonitspole.
7 Removetheprotectivecapfromtheperforator.Inserttheperforatorintheirrigationbag(Pic.12
-Ref.D).
8 Opentheairinletonthetubebeforeoperating.
9 Releasetheirrigationtubeclamp,ifthisisclosed.
NOTE:Usethe“PUMP”keyonthelcddisplayconsoletolltheirrigationtube(seeparagraph5.3.2
-Phase4).

DANGER: Personal injuries.
When the peristaltic pump ap is open (Pic.4 - Ref.C) never activate the Piezosurgery Medical
footswitch.Themovingpartsmaycauseinjurytotheoperator.

DANGER:
OnlyuseoriginalMectronaccessoriesandspares.
Donotusesiliconesteriletubeswithcharacteristicsdifferenttothosesuppliedbythemanufacturer.
(Siliconesteriletubefortheperistalticpump-Wallthickness:1.6mm-Internaldiameter:2.4mm).

DANGER:
Beforeusingthedevice,checkthattheirrigationtubeclampisreleased.Aftersurgery,closethe
clampbeforedisconnectingtheirrigationkitfromthephysiologicalbag.
5.2.9 Piezosurgery Medical Handpiece connection


OnlyuseoriginalPiezosurgeryMedicalHandpieces.

DANGER: 
The Piezosurgery Medical Handpiece is complete with cord: cord and handpiece cannot be
separated.
- Insertthehandpiece-cordconnectorinoneoftheconnectorsplacedonthefrontpanelofthe
device’body(Pic.13).
- Aligntheprinteddotontheconnectorofthehandpiece-cordwiththedotontheconnectornut
placedonthedevicebody.
- Gentlypushthehandpiece-cordconnectoruntilitclicks.TodisconnectthePiezosurgeryMedical
Handpiecefromthedevice,holdthehandpiece-cordconnectorandpullback.
- RepeattheabovestepstoconnectthesecondPiezosurgeryMedicalHandpiece.
NOTE: ItispossibletoconnectandsettwoPiezosurgeryMedicalHandpieces,butonlyoneata
timecanbeactivated.
