5. Using a small oiler bottle, apply one (1) drop of sewing machine oil to the hook oiling area. This
area is highlighted in green in the photograph.
6. This is now a good time to clean, rethread, and Insert the bobbin and case into the machine with
the pigtail facing up. Push on the bobbin case until it snaps into place. If lowered in an earlier
step, close the hook guard.
7. Trim the thread to 2-3 inches.
This completes the hook maintenance procedure.
