IMPORTANT: The pump method is preferred to remove engine oil
from XXL models. If the drain method is used, an oil drain funnel
must be used to divert oil from the lower splash plate and into the
container.
1. Tilt outboard out/up past vertical for approximately one minute
to allow trapped oil to drain back to the oil sump.
2. Place the outboard in a vertical position.
3. Remove dipstick and slide adaptor tube of crankcase oil pump
through oil dipstick hole, to bottom of engine oil sump.
4. Pump out the engine oil into an appropriate container.

DRAIN METHOD
1. Tilt outboard out/up past vertical for approximately one minute
to allow trapped oil to drain back to the oil sump.
2. Place the outboard in a vertical position.
3. Place appropriate container under engine oil sump plug. Drain
plug/seal washer is located beneath the splash plate (port side
of outboard).
