3. Unscrew old filter by using oil filter wrench tool and turning the
filter counterclockwise.

Assists in removal of oil filter.
4. Clean the oil filter mounting base.
5. Apply film of clean oil to filter gasket. Do not use grease.
6. Screw new filter on until gasket contacts base, then tighten
3/4 to 1 turn.
