iii. Passive PoE injector (Passive PSE)
If you purchased a node
with a passive PoE
injector, then your node
has the capability to
power external
accessories with either
12V or 24V at up to 30W.
Note that a power draw
greater than 5W without
supplemental solar
panels or batteries will
increase the potential for
downtime, since the
batteries deplete more quickly. Passive PoE modules need to
be activated before use, which is done before shipping. If you
purchased a passive PoE module separately, contact us at
info@meshplusplus.com for activation.
d. External antenna installation
If you purchased an S618 with extended range antennas for the
base model 2x2 WiFi 6 node:
i. Locate the two N-type
connectors on the cam
handle side of the node.
Any external antennas
for 2.4/5GHz WiFi 6 must
be installed on this side.
The connectors opposite
to the cam handle are
only for the optional WiFi
6E expansion.
ii. Remove the clear plastic
