Initialization Issues
Issue 1: The node cannot be found via Bluetooth search on the
mobile app.
i. If the account has a large number of networks, make sure
that all networks have been successfully loaded on the
dashboard tab. Until the loading bar reaches 100%, nodes
already in networks may not appear in Bluetooth searches.
ii. Verify that the node has not already been added to a
network that you do not have access to. This can be checked
on the app (once all networks have been loaded) through
the search tab by scrolling to the bottom under “Other
Networks.” If the node’s MAC address is found here and you
do not have access to it through any other account, please
contact us. We will need to verify ownership.
iii. The node must have battery life - even if very low (under
10%), the node should still show up in Bluetooth searches.
Plug the node into a USB-C charger (60 W or higher) or
other power source for 15 minutes and retry the search.
Please note that if fully depleted, a node will not turn on
until it has been charging for several hours.
iv. Position yourself within 9 m (30 ft) of the node and
underneath it if installed on a pole - the LEDs should be
pointing upwards and away from you. Try to reattempt the
search from several different locations.
v. Ensure that there are no obstructions between you and the
node. Metal objects and surfaces, other Bluetooth-enabled
devices, or electronics that emit radiation in the 2.4GHz band
(such as a microwave) may hinder results.
