Functional description (cont'd)
Work instructions
Activation
• Verify that the LED is ON and therefore, that power is indeed being
applied to the generator.
• The push button is used to switch to standby mode upon activation of the
unit, and vice versa.
• When power is applied to the unit, the last configuration memorised is
restored. An autoset of the display is performed : all the segments are lit
during approximately 3 seconds. The "MAIN OUT" output is active. When
first activated, the default configuration parameters are applied.

Function generator
The form of the signal generated on the "MAIN OUT" outputs:
• output on the BNC terminal,
• output on sockets (socket on the right of the terminal strip, earthed)
is selected using the keys:
Sinusoidal output signal (the symbol is lit on the display).
Triangular output signal (the symbol is lit on the display).
Rectangular output signal (the symbol is lit on the display).
Logic output signal (the symbol is lit on the display).
DC output signal (the symbol is lit on the display).
G The "MAIN OUT" output remains active.
The "FREQ" key, when activated (LED on) is used to adjust the frequency
via the encoder.
• The selected frequency, related to its unit (Hz, kHz, MHz), is indicated
on the main display (4 digits).
• Changing the range (7 ranges) is automatic (Auto-Ranging) (range
overlapping 2 % approximately):
Range 5 Hz: display of 0.100 Hz to 5.100 Hz
50 Hz: 5.00 Hz to 51.00 Hz
500 Hz: 50.00 Hz to 510.00 Hz
5 kHz: 500.0 Hz to 5.100 kHz:
50 kHz: 5.100 kHz: to 5.100 kHz
500 kHz: 5.100 kHz to 510.0 kHz
5 MHz: 500.kHz to 5.100 MHz
This key is used to increment the frequency range.
This key is used to decrement the frequency range.
