TheairbagSRSprovidesADDITIONAL
protectioninasevereimpactonly.Itdoes
notreplacetheneed,orrequirementtowear
aseatbelt.Eventhevehicleisequipped
withairbags,seatbeltsstillmustbeworn
properly,otherwiseyoumaysufferfrom
severeinjuryorevendeathinacollision.
Theairbagstogetherwithlap-shoulderseat
beltsprovideoptimumprotectionforadults,
butitisnotthecaseforinfants.Theseat
beltandairbagsystemsinthevehicleare
notdesignedforprotectinginfants.The
protectionrequiredbyinfantsshouldbe
providedbychildrestraints.
Generally,SRScontainsthefollowingcomponents(the
componentsarenotcompletelythesameaccordingto
differentmodelandconguration):
•FrontalAirbags(ttedinthecentrepartofthesteering
wheelandtheinstrumentpanelabovetheglovebox
respectively)
•SideAirbags(ttedintheouterseatbackcushionofthe
twofrontseats)
•SideHeadImpactProtectionAirbags(ttedintheroof
lining)
