Ifyouneedtochangethewheelduringthejourney,choose
asafeplacetostopawayfromthemainroadifpossible.
Alwaysaskyourpassengerstogetoutofthecarandwait
inasafeareaawayfromothertrafc.
Switchonhazardwarninglamps.Ifavailable,position
awarningtriangleabout50to150metresbehindyour
vehicletowarnapproachingtrafc.
Beforechangingawheel,ensurethefrontwheelsareinthe
straightaheadposition.Applytheparkingbrakeandplace
theshiftleverinNposition(MT)orPposition(AT).Place
theignitionswitchinOFFposition.
Observethefollowingprecautions:
•Ensurethejackispositionedonrm,levelground.
•Ifthevehiclemustbeparkedonthehill,placechocks
infrontofandbehindother3wheelstopreventthe
vehiclemoving.
PositioningtheJack
NEVERworkbeneaththecarwiththejack
astheonlymeansofsupport.Andthejackis
designedforwheelchangingonly!
NEVERjackthevehicleusinganyjacking
pointsotherthanthedesignatedpoints
shown,otherwiseseriousdamagemaybe
caused.
Positionthejackonrmlevelgroundunderthejacking
pointnearestthewheeltoberemoved(asindicatedby
thedirectionoftrianglemarkarrowonthevehiclebody).
Notethattherectanglegrooveofthejackmusttintothe
correspondingangingofthebody(seeillustration).
