Thedeploymentofairbagsdoesnotdependonthevehicle
speed,butontheobjectthatthevehiclehits,angleof
impactandtherateatwhichthecarchangesspeedasa
resultofacollision.Whentheimpactforceofcollision
isabsorbedordispersedtovehiclebody,airbagsmaynot
deploy;however,airbagsmaysometimesdeployaccording
toimpactcondition.Therefore,thedeploymentofairbags
shallnotbejudgedbasedontheseverityofvehicledamage.
FrontalAirbags
Undercertainconditionsthefrontalairbagsmaynotbe
deployed.Someexamplesarelistedbelow:
•Theimpactpointisnotcentraltothefrontofthe
vehicle.
•Haveafrontalcollisionwithsolidpoles,trafcsignpost.
•Collisionwiththebottompartofthetruck'stailgate;
cut-incollisionwithtrucksorvehicleswithahigher
chassis.
•Frontalcollisionatananglewithguardbars.
•Impactstotherearorsideofthevehicle.
•Thevehiclerollingover.
