DownhillDriving
Repeatedlypressingthebrakepedalmay
resultinbrakeoverheat,therebycausingthe
degradationofbrakeperformanceoreven
brakefailure.
Ifdrivingdownahillforlongdistances,slowdownrst,and
thenpushtheshiftleverfromDgeartotherighttoenter
intomanualmodeandthenmanuallyengageinlowgear .
Usealowergearselectiontoaidtheslowingofthevehicle
andthusavoidingover-useofthebrakes.Forexample,
whendrivingdownthehillwithcontinuouscurves,engage
into2gear;whendrivingdownthestraighthill,engageinto
3gear.Ifthebrakeforceofengineisinsufcient,thespeed
isincreased,theautomatictransmissionwillshifttohigh
gearautomaticallytoavoidtheoverrunningoftheengine,
atthistime,youneedtopressthebrakepedalimmediately
andshifttoappropriatelowgearthroughmanualmode.
