GearshiftSpeed
WithDorEgearselected,thespeedatonegearvaries
dependingontheacceleratorpedalposition:asmaller
throttleopeningwillresultinthegearshiftatalower
speed,andalargerthrottleopeningwillrenderthe
transmissiontodelaythegearshiftaction,untilthegear
shiftiscompletedwhenthevehiclereachesahigherspeed.
Kick-down
Thedrivewheelsmayskidwhenkick-downis
activatedonroadsurfaceswithlowadhesion,
thismayleadtothevehicleslidingoutof
control.
WithDorEgearselected,pressingtheaccelerator
pedalallthewaydowninonemotion(alsoknownas
kick-down)willprovidebetteraccelerationperformance
duringovertaking.Undercertainconditions,itwillallow
thetransmissiontoshifttoalowergearimmediately,and
providefastacceleration.Oncetheacceleratorpedalis
released,itwillresumeasuitablehighergear(basedonthe
vehiclespeedandthepositionoftheacceleratorpedal).
