Ifdepositsbuilduponthesurfaceofthe
sensors,theirperformancemaybeimpaired.
Whenwashingthecar,avoidaiminghigh
pressurewaterjetsdirectlyatthesensors
fromcloserange.
RearParkingAid
Theultrasonicsensorsontherearbumpermonitorthe
areabehindthevehicletosearchforobstacles.Ifan
obstacleisdetected,thesystemwillcalculateitsdistance
fromtherearofthevehicleandcommunicatesthemessage
tothedriverbysoundingwarningchimes.

RearParkingAid
WhentheignitionswitchisinpositionON/RUN/START ,
therearparkingaidisenabledautomaticallywhenreverse
gearisselected,anditisswitchedoffassoonasreverse
gearisdisengaged.Ashortbeepisgivenbytheparkingaid
appr.1secondafterselectingthereversegeartoindicate
thatthesystemisoperatingnormally.Ifanobstacleis
detectedattherear,thesystemwillpromptthedriverwith
warningalarms.
Note:Ifalonger,higherpitchedwarningalarmis
emitted(forapproximate3seconds)whenreverse
gearisselected,thisindicatesafaultinthesystem.
