ifthereisdamagetothefrontorsideofthevehicle,or
theairbagcoversshowsignsofdamage,contactanMG
Authorisedrepairerimmediately.
IMPORTANT
•Theserviceofanairbagsystemorthesteeringwheel
shouldbecarriedoutbyanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
Forbetterguaranteeofyoursafety,werecommend
youconsultanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
•After10yearsfromtheinitialdateofregistration
(orinstallationdateofareplacementairbag),some
componentswillneedtobereplacedbyanMG
AuthorisedRepairer.Ifyouhaveanydoubtabout
thedevicewithinthisperiod,werecommend
youconsultanMGAuthorisedRepairer.The
appropriatepageoftheWarrantyandMaintenance
Handbookmustbesignedandstampedfor
traceabilityoncetheworkhasbeencompleted.
ReplacementofSRSComponents
Eveniftheairbagdoesnotdeploy,collisions
maycausedamagetotheairbagsystem
inthevehicle.Airbagsmaynotfunction
properlyafterdamage,andcannotprotect
youandotherpassengerswhenasecond
collisionoccurs,whichmaycauseserious
injuryorevendeath.Toensurethatairbag
systemcanfunctionproperlyaftercollision,
pleasegotoanMGAuthorisedRepairerto
checkairbagsandrepairasnecessary.
Airbagsaredesignedforusingonceonly.Oncetheairbagis
deployed,youmustreplacetheairbagsystemcomponents.
DisposalofAirbags
Whenyourvehicleissold,ensurethatthenewowner
knowsthevehicleisequippedwithairbags,andisaware
ofthereplacementdateoftheairbagsystem.
Ifthevehicleisscrapped,theundeployedairbagsmayhave
potentialrisks,therefore,beforethedisposal,theymustbe
deployedsafelyinacertainenvironmentbyaprofessional
