ownerormotorvehiclerepairercouldresultinthe
manufacturer’swarrantybeingdeemedasinvalid.In
addition,enginesettingsmustnotbetamperedwith,
otherwise,theemissionindexescouldbeaffected.
OwnerMaintenance
Anysignicantorsuddendropinuid
levels,oruneventyrewear,shouldbe
reportedwithoutdelaytotheMGAuthorised
Repairer.
Inadditiontotheroutineservicesreferredtopreviously,
anumberofsimplechecksmustbecarriedoutmore
frequently.Adviceisgivenonthepagesthatfollow.
DailyCheck
•Operationoflights,horn,wipers,washersandwarning
lamps.
•Operationofseatbeltsandbrakes.
•Lookforuiddepositsunderneaththecarthatmight
indicatealeak.
•Checktyreappearance.
WeeklyCheck
•Engineoillevel.
•Coolantlevel.
•Brakeuidlevel.
•Windscreenwasheruidlevel.
•Operateairconditioning.
Note:Theengineoillevelshouldbecheckedmore
frequentlyifthecarisdrivenforprolongedperiodsat
highspeeds.
SpecialOperatingConditions
Ifyourcarisfrequentlyusedindustyconditions,or
operatedinextremeclimateswheresub-zeroorvery
highambienttemperaturesarenormal,morefrequent
attentionmayneedtobepaidtoservicingrequirements.
