Thefollowingfactorsaffectthetyrelife:
TyrePressures
Incorrecttyrepressurescanresultinpoordriving
characteristicsandashortenedtyrelifeduetoabnormal
wear.
DrivingStyle
Excessivelyharshaccelerationandbraking(tyressendout
harshnoise)whilstcorneringwillreducetyrelife.
WheelBalance
Thewheelsofanewvehiclearesubjecttodynamicbalance
testing,butoutofbalancewheelsmaystillbecauseddue
totheeffectsofvariousfactorsinoperation.
Y oushallconductthedynamicbalanceforthewheelsagain
sinceoutofbalancewheelswillcausejitterofthesteering
mechanismandexcessivewearinthetyres.Inaddition,
eachwheelmustberebalancedafternewtyresareinstalled
ortyreshavebeenrepaired.
WheelAlignmentDefect
Incorrectwheelalignmentcancauseexcessivetyrewear
andaffectvehiclesafety.Ifthetyresshowsignsofabnormal
wear,checkthewheelalignmentandseekadvicefroman
MGAuthorisedrepairer.
