benetisobtainedfromtheseatbeltwiththeseat
backanglesettoapproximately25°fromtheupright
(vertical)position.
•DONOTallowforeignmatter(particularlysugary
foodanddrinkparticles)toentertheseatbeltlocks
-suchsubstancescanrenderthelocksinoperative.
•Inmostcountries,alloccupantsarerequiredbylaw
towearaseatbelt,unlesstheyhavebeenissuedwith
amedicalexemptioncerticate.
•Duringpregnancy,womenshouldwearthelapbelt
acrossthehipsbelowthebaby.
FasteningtheBelt
Donotattachanyadditionaldevicetothe
seatbeltinanywaywhichmayimpedeits
operation.
Pulltheseatbeltsteadilyovertheshoulderandacrossthe
chestand,ensuringthewebbingisnottwisted,insertthe
metaltongueplateintothebucklenearestthewearer.A
‘click’indicatesthatthebeltissecurelylocked.
Note:Ifwhenusingtherearcentre3pointseatbelt
youencounterdifcultyfasteningit,releasethebelt,
allowittoretractthenpullitoutslowly,thenlockit
securelyintoplace.
