StabilityControlSystem(SCS)
SCSisdesignedtoassistthedriverincontrolofdriving
direction.TheSCSisautomaticallyactivatedafterthe
engineisstarted.
WhenSCSdetectsthatthevehicleisnotmovinginthe
intendeddirection,itwillintervenebyapplyingbrakeforce
toselectedwheelsorthroughtheenginemanagement
systemtopreventslidingandassistinbringingthecarback
totherightdirection.
T ractionControlSystem(TCS)
Thepurposeofelectronictractioncontrolistoaid
traction,therebyhelpingthedrivertomaintaincontrol
ofthecarinsituationswhereoneorbothofthedriving
wheelsarespinning(forexample,ifonewheelisonice
andtheotherontarmac).
Thetractioncontrolsystemmonitorsthedrivingspeedof
eachwheelindividually.Ifspinisdetectedononewheel,
thesystemautomaticallybrakesthatwheel,transferring
torquetotheopposite,non-spinningwheel.Ifbothwheels
arespinning,thesystemwillreduceenginespeedinorder
toregulatewheelrotationuntiltractionisregained.
Note:Theindividualwheelbrakingfeatureofthe
tractioncontrolsystemwillnotoperateatroad
speedsabove62MPH(100km/h).Theenginetorque
reductionfeaturecontinuestofunctionuptothecar’s
maximumspeed.
