•IftheindicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicator
intheinstrumentpackareextinguished,theEPBis
released.
StartAssist
TheEPBcanpredictthedriver'sintentionand
automaticallyreleasetheEPB.
Ifthedriver'sseatbeltisfastened,clutchpedalfully
pressed,forwardorreversegearselectedandtheclutch
pedalliftedwhilstpressingtheaccelerator,theEPBwill
automaticallyrelease.
EmergencyBraking
Inappropriateuseoftheelectricparkbrake
canleadtoaccidentsandinjuries.Donot
applytheelectricparkbrakeforvehicle
braking,unlessinemergency.
DuringemergencybrakingusingtheEPB,DO
NOTinsertorremovetheignitionkey,this
couldresultinseriousinjury.
Intheeventofnormalbrakefailure,emergencybraking
usingtheEPBcanbeinitiatedbypullingandholdingthe
EPBswitchupward.
IftheSCScanrespondactivelytotherequestformthe
EPB,atspeedsinexcessofapredeterminedlimittheSCS
willactivateandapplyall4brakes.Atspeedsbelowthe
predeterminedlimittheEPBwillonlyactivatetherear
brakes.IftheSCSisunabletorespondtotherequestfrom
theEPB,thentheEPBwillonlyactivatetherearbrakes.
DuringemergencybrakingusingEPB,acontinualaudible
warningwillsound.T ocanceltheemergencybraking
process,releasetheEPBswitchorpresstheaccelerator.
