Y ourcarisequippedwitharemovabletowingeye,that
canbeusedatthefrontortherearofyourvehicle.The
towingeyeisstoredinthetoolkitbeneaththeloadspace
oorwhennotinuse.
T otthetowingeye,removethesmallcoversetintothe
bumperbypressingrmlyonthebottomleftcorner,then
screwthetowingeyeintoitsmountingbehindthebumper
(seeillustration).Ensurethetowingeyeisfullytightened.
Note:Thetowingeyecovermaybesecuredtothe
bumperbyaplasticcord.
Bothtowingpointsareintendedforusebyqualied
recoveryspecialiststoassistintherecoveryofyour
carwhenabreakdownoraccidentoccur.Theyarenot
designedfortowingothervehicles,andmustNEVERbe
usedtotowatrailerorcaravan.
T owingforRecovery
DONOTremovetheignitionhandsetwhile
thecarisbeingtowedonfourwheels–as
thiswillpreventthesteeringwheelfrom
beingturned.
Ifyourcaristobetowed,mostqualiedrecovery
specialistswillusewheelliftequipmenttosuspendthe
frontwheels,whiletherearwheelsremainontheground.
Otherwisemaycausedamagetothetransmission.
However,ifitisnecessaryforthecartobetowedwith
allfourwheelsontheground,abidebythefollowing
procedure:
1SwitchtheignitionontopositionⅡtoenablethebrake
lights,wipersanddirectionindicatorstobeoperated
ifnecessary.If,duetoanaccidentorelectricalfault,it
isconsideredunsafetoswitchtheignitionon,thecar
willneedtoberecoveredonatrailer .
2Placethegearleverinneutral.
3Releasetheparkbrake.
