Bodyprotection
Afterwashing,examinethepaintworkfordamage.Ifthe
damagehasrevealedbaremetal,useacolouredprimer
rst,thenapplythecorrectcolourbasecoatandnish
offwithalacquerpencil,ifappropriate.Carryoutthis
treatmentafterwashingbutbeforepolishingorwaxing.
Moreextensivedamagetopaintorbodyworkmust
berepairedinaccordancewiththemanufacturer’s
recommendations.Failuretodothiswillinvalidatethe
Anti-CorrosionWarranty.Ifindoubt,askyourMG
AuthorisedRepairer .
Polishingthepaintwork
DONOTusecarpolishcontainingcoarse
abrasives–thesewillremovethepaintlm
anddamagetheglossnish.
Occasionallytreatthepaintsurfacewithanapprovedpolish
containingthefollowingproperties:
•Verymildabrasivestoremovesurfacecontamination
withoutremovingordamagingthepaint.
•Fillingcompoundsthatwillllscratchesandreduce
theirvisibility.
•Waxtoprovideaprotectivecoatingbetweenthepaint
andtheelements.
Note:Ifpossible,avoidapplyingpolishorwax
productstowindowglassandrubberseals.
Wiperblades
Washinwarmsoapywater.DONOTusespiritorpetrol
basedcleaners.
Windowsandmirrors
Regularlycleanallwindows,insideandout,usingan
approvedglasscleaner.
Windscreen:Inparticular,cleantheoutsideofthescreen
withglasscleanerafterwashingthecarwithwashandwax
products,andbeforettingnewwiperblades.
Rearscreen:cleantheinsidewithasoftcloth,usingaside
tosidemotiontoavoiddamagingtheheatingelements.
