Adjusting By-pass Valves
The following is a basic procedure for adjusting the by-pass
valves in a single flowmeter, three-way boom shut-off valve
system. You may need to check your sprayer’s operating
manual for more specific details.
NOTE: This procedure is not intended to replace any
sprayer manufacturer’s instructions. Always refer to your
sprayer’s operating manual for specific instructions.
PROCEDURE
1. Place the console in HOLD and enter calibration (press
and hold “CAL” key for three seconds).
2. Turn the rotary knob to TEST SPEED and use the “+” and
“ - ” buttons to enter your desired speed.
3. Turn the rotary knob to APP. RATE. Place the console
in MAN and turn all booms ON. Use the “+” and “ - ”
buttons to adjust to your desired application rate.
4. Turn off boom 1. Adjust the by-pass valve of boom 1 so
that the console reading equals your desired APP. RATE.
Turn boom 1 back ON.
5. Turn off boom 2. Adjust the by-pass valve of boom 2 so
that the console reading equals your desired APP. RATE.
Turn boom 2 back ON.
6. Continue this procedure with each boom valve until all
boom valves have been adjusted.
