Checking Register Mark Sensor Responsiveness
Responsiveness cannot be checked accurately by moving the head and sheet manually. Be
sure to check the register mark sensor responsiveness using the following procedure:
For information on creating register marks, refer to "Creating Register Marks"(P. 80).
The pointer offset set using this operation will not be reset by [SETUP RESET].
Enable the buzzer sound. ( "SET UP"(P. 135) > [BUZZER]) The detection confirmation
sound will not sound if the buzzer sound is disabled.

Attach a pen.

Load a sheet on which register marks are printed.
Creating Register Marks

Press on the local mode screen.
The machine switches to jog mode.

Use to move the pen nib close to the center of the register mark detection position.
Register mark detection should be performed at a position at least 1 mm from the register mark.

Press the [END] key to exit jog mode.
The system returns to local mode.

Press the [FUNCTION] key.

Use to select [MARK SENSOR], then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.

Check to confirm that [Sensor Check] is displayed, then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.

Set the register mark detection conditions.

The register mark detection conditions set are retained even when the power is turned off.
