Checking Register Mark Sensor Responsiveness
• Responsiveness cannot be checked accurately by moving the head and sheet manually. Be
sure to check the register mark sensor responsiveness using the following procedure:
• For information on creating register marks, refer to "Creating Register Marks"(P. 80).
• The pointer offset set using this operation will not be reset by [SETUP RESET].
• Enable the buzzer sound. ( "SET UP"(P. 135) > [BUZZER]) The detection confirmation
sound will not sound if the buzzer sound is disabled.

Attach a pen.

Load a sheet on which register marks are printed.

Press on the local mode screen.
• The machine switches to jog mode.

Use to move the pen nib close to the center of the register mark detection position.
• Register mark detection should be performed at a position at least 1 mm from the register mark.

Press the [END] key to exit jog mode.
• The system returns to local mode.

Press the [FUNCTION] key.

Use to select [MARK SENSOR], then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.

Check to confirm that [Sensor Check] is displayed, then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.

Set the register mark detection conditions.

• The register mark detection conditions set are retained even when the power is turned off.
