Mounting the Detector Head and Adjusting the
Position
After completing the steps described in "3.2 Mounting the Scale Main Unit and Adjusting the Position",
follow the procedures below to mount the detector head.
3.3.1 Mounting the Detector Head

Check the parallelism of the detector head mounting surface.
For details, refer to "4.6 External View and Dimensional Drawings of the Scale Main Unit" on page 38.

Remove the connecting rod that xes the head xing blocks.

Fix the detector head using the supplied xing screws.
Detector head xing screws: M6x40 (tightening torque: M6 screw: 9 N•m)

If there is a clearance between the detector head and the mounting surface, prepare a spacer to ll the clear-
ance. The scale unit may be damaged if the xing screws are tightened forcibly while there is a clearance.
