Mounting the Camera with Pole Mount (Accessory)
2.4 Mounting the Camera with Pole Mount (Accessory)
If you are intending to mount the camera on a pole, you should consider using the MOBOTIX
M26 Pole Mount. This mount is made of 3 mm powder-coated stainless steel (white) and
has been designed specically for outdoor use. The supplied stainless steel straps allow
attaching the mount to poles with diameters between 60 and 180 mm (2.4 to 7.1 in). By
design, the Pole Mount does not allow using a ush-mounted wall outlet. In order to ensure
a weatherproof connection of the network devices, it is recommended to use an
MX-Overvoltage-Protection-Box, which is easily installed in the cavity of the VarioFlex wall
mount. For additional information on the MX-Overvoltage-Protection-Box, open the
Products >
Accessories > Interface Boxes
section on www.mobotix.com.
The camera is always installed together with the VarioFlex
mount, which has been prepared at the factory for wall
mounting and which is easily attached to the Pole Mount.
The best camera position for the selected lens must be found
before installing the camera (see Section 2.1, «Preparing
the Installation»). Once the camera has been mounted to
the pole, you can ne-tune its position.
