Getting Started
Charging the Battery using the
Travel Charger
New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you
can use your communicator, you need to install and charge
the battery, as indicated by the following instructions.
Some batteries perform best after several charge/
discharge cycles.

Replace back
cover and slide
into place until it
locks.
Action

Plug the charger
in with the
release tab up.

Plug the other end into an electrical outlet. While
the battery is charging,
Charging Battery
and the
battery’s current charge level (
Very Low
to
High
)
display on the screen.

When
Charging Complete
displays, press the
release tab and remove the charger.
